Tim

Somehow you understood in a way that others didn't. We were unlikely friends in that Alienation known as high school. You were the first guy I ever hugged voluntarily. The last thing I remember you saying to me was that I would be the last girl in class to marry. At the time, I thought you were just doing that teasing thing you did so well--the one that made your whole face curl up into a smile. Now I wonder if you weren't a prophet. In any case, I have a bone to pick with you when I see you again. I can hardly wait. I miss you.

Tot, I'm so glad we're friends. I love you and I'm praying for you!

Reading this 10+ years later and it feels surreal. You're the only friend who spoke Tim's name or took a moment to remember him. I don't know that I can ever tell you how much that means/has meant.
